Tom Tate pledges $160m for light rail to Gold Coast Airport
Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate has significantly raised the mayoral stakes promising a future council he managed would put forward $160 million to extend light rail south to the Gold Coast Airport after the 2018 Commonwealth Games.The first section of the light rail runs between Southport to Broadbeach and the soon-to-constructed second section will run between Southport and Helensvale by 2018.
